About Herdegen HERDEGEN products are manufactured to meet the highest design and quality standards of the Health Care Community. They have been thoroughly tested and proven in the most demanding health care situations, in homes, institutions and hospitals.
Paul Herdegen who emigrated in the 19th century from Nurnberg, Germany to Chelles, France, close to Paris, founded the HERDEGEN COMPANY. Paul's name was originally written with a double "r" as Herrdegen, which means swordsman in German. During the war of 1870 between France and Prussia, he changed the spelling to Herdegen with a single "r" in order to avoid this Prussian sound. The company he founded in 1860 was dedicated to the production of walking sticks, umbrellas, hats, leather gloves and other fashion items. More... |
